In the year 1960,Shri Charmakki Narayana Shetty founded Sri Shankaranarayana Construction Company (Presently known as SNC Power Corporation (P) Ltd,). Since then the company has contributed enormously to the growth of country and civil engineering. Over the years, it has grown both in size and scope of activity to become one of India's foremost construction company with reputation for solidity and quality that is unmatched.

Having dedicated itself to excellence in Civil Engineering, SNC has consciously followed a policy of attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry. The quality of team people and constant investment in State of-the-art Equipment have been the key factors in SNC's ability to deliver superior results every time.

With projects being executed at various sites around, the country and even abroad, SNC has adopted a decentralized work culture. Decision making and execution of works are carried out at the project level with excellent technical backup from corporate office in Bangalore. A clear understanding that the men on the job are in the best position to judge what is needed, has contributed to the success story of SNC.

SNC has had the opportunity to work in tandem with the giants of the construction industry and has completed a number of joint ventures in collaboration with the world's leading construction companies. The scope of work executed by SNC over the past five decades covers the entire spectrum of construction activity from commercial complexes, roads and railways to power plants, dams, tunnels, irrigation canals etc.,

  • 1965: First Road contract: Gangoli Approach Road, Mangalore
  • 1966 :Conversion of Pune-Miraj section from motor to broad guage

  • 1994 : First overseas contract: Tunnel for Malaysian Railway using NATM

Health
At SNC, we believe that health is wealth and we have instituted a series of measures to ensure that they have access to the best of health care.
  • All our employees are issued with a Mediclaim health card and can utilise the card to get free medical aid for all members of the family.
  • We have primary health centres at all our onsite locations and these centres have qualified health care professionals to attend to first aid and emergencies.
